To help with your child's eczema, here are some ideas to help make them more comfortable:

- Use non-biological washing powders and avoid fabric conditioners as much as possible

- Keep a cotton cloth or towel to hand to avoid contact with plastic seats or carpets

- Everyday clothes and bed linen should be made of pure cotton

- Keep children away from direct sunlight or hot radiator

- Keep children away from the family pet for a while

- Use cotton gloves to protect hands during a home craft session

- Keep children's nails short to minimise damage caused by scratching
